Competitive Strategy
Competitive Strategy is “a clear statement of why a customer should choose a company’s products or service over those of competing companies.” (pge310) It is amazing to see all of the competition between products out there today. All of the products promising the same results as the last one. How do we choose the product that we want when they all promise the same things? At this point you can only go on word of mouth, your gut feeling, and trial and error. We are inundated with advertisements all day long and yet what it comes down to is personal preference.

Hi Bejeweled,
The competitive strategy is very prominent in our society. I work for a company that distributes medical implants, and we have several competitors. Like you said... how do you really know what is the best? Kind of scary to think that a surgeon could implant something in you simply because he/she has a good relationship with the supplier. Of course, I think most products that are in competition with each other are essentially one in the same. It's all about the way you market your brand.
